Mission: To put christian principles into practice by developing relationships among all persons and providing programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body. The y provides financial assistance, to all who are in need. No one is turned away for inability to pay.
Programs: The y offers a diverse selection of sports for youth to participate in through the year, approximately 3,000 children participated. The largest of these programs are swimming and basketball. As with all programs the y offers, the purpose of the program is to help children grow and develop in healthy spirit, mind and body through the y's core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Children are taught the fundamentals of the sports, with an emphasis on personal, progressive development as well as the installation of the life-long love of sport and activity. The y provides financial assistance to all who qualify and cannot afford y services.
the y's kidz zone program is a recreation-based before and after school program that operates in both y branches and at local schools, we serve approximately 900 children with this program. . The purpose of the program is to meet the y's mission of putting christian principles into practice by building healthy spirits, minds and bodies in the lives of the children we serve. Children are supervised by trained y professionals who develop and deliver a program comprised of active games, crafts, independent study and homework help. The y provides financial assistance to all who qualify and cannot afford y services.
the y's day camp programs serve over 900 children per summer and take place in five different locations throughout the community. The program offers children a quality summer camp experience that is based on the y core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. It also offers both children and families a safe, nurturing environment where children learn, develop and grow under the watchful supervision of trained y professionals. The y provides financial assistance to all who qualify and cannot afford y services.
