A key program, the automotive learning center, is inspiring current and future generations of students, automotive enthusiasts, and professionals through education, community engagement, and the exploration of career opportunities in the automotive industry. The museum provides a wide variety of community programming and features a substantial archive of motorsports memorabilia. In 2017, world of speed hosted 47,000 visitors in its museum and offered benefits to 900 members. It provided extra-curricular stem and automotive industry educational experiences in its automotive learning center to 2,300 students, ranging in age from early elementary school through community college. It joined with local community colleges to provide 1,800 hours of vocational automotive industry training to 250 students, including access to its ten vehicle lifts and professionally-equipped service bays.
