We started sponsoring a child in April 2003 and we continue to this day, in February 2022. We know that we can 100% trust World Family Foundation to use our donations to efficiently, lovingly and successfully support children who otherwise most likely would get no education and in many cases would also be going without the basics of shelter and food.
We met the founder, Elizabeth, early on when she came to Los Angeles. We know that the hearts of the board of directors, teachers and staff are totally committed to the well-being of the children. We know that the children are succeeding and thriving.
To Whom it May Concern,
I have been involved and part of Wonderful WORLD FAMILY FOUNDATION for years. It is a very Loving & Giving Organization created to Support Children in Need. It is a Gift to All of Us to Witness the Transformation of all these Children.
Thank You for your Support.
All the Best

We have been privileged and blessed to see the blossoming of the World Family Foundation over the years. We remember the devastating 1999 cyclone in Orissa which was a focal point of its beginning. Throughout the following years we have served in several capacities in support of this beautiful program as sponsors, donors, and serving on the board of directors.
We have tremendous respect and admiration for the organization's founder, Elizabeth Burnett, and her tireless life-long efforts and dedication in not only helping children and families have a chance at a better life, but also seeing a generation of boys and girls grow into loving, caring, educated citizens of their community.
For many of these students the character values of truth, peace, love, and non-violence developed at Prashanti School will be passed on throughout their lives and beyond for many years to come.
The unique and intimate contact between sponsor and student, the sharing of dreams, hopes and accomplishments, has resulted in the broadening of many hearts and minds of ordinary people of all ages across the continents.
The future of Prashanti School is in good hands as a result of the continued efforts and support of a dedicated, innovative and supportive volunteer Board of Directors; the Prashanti school staff that is committed to perpetuating and teaching the ideals and examples of its founder; and the many sponsors and donors who happily share in this beautiful experience.
Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of this unique adventure.

They are providing food clothing shelter and education to transform the lives of impoverished children
We have been proud to help the students of Prashanti School through our commitment of time and financial contributions to the Ojai Rotary Club and World Family Foundation. Rotary allows for partnerships not only between our club here in California and the boots-on-the-ground of members of Rotary clubs in India, but also through project partnership for conception, construction and completion with World Family Foundation.

The Prashanti International School, run by the World Family Foundation does an amazing job of providing much needed care and support to the fatherless children in Puri, India.
Not only do they provide good, value-based education to children who would have otherwise not been able to escape from the cycle of poverty, they also provide housing, clothing, medical, dental and vision care.
Scholarships are awarded for higher education and vocational training is also provided. This helps the young adults to grow into independent and productive members of the community and society.
All of the above good work and much more is done by the dedicated volunteers whose mission is to transform the lives of the children with love and kindness.
Through World Family Foundation (WFF), my wife and I began sponsoring a young boy in 2005 and then a second child a few years later. Over the years we became more involved, continued our sponsorship, and became board of director members and officers. In addition to our direct involvement with WFF we were fortunate that we were able to visit the children, staff, and school almost every year since our initial sponsorship.
Over the years we have gotten to know the children and watch them grow. They recognize the opportunity that has been extended to them and it is a blessing to see them express this through their smiles, their commitment to continue their education, and to give back to their communities.
The work of World Family Foundation in Ojai, CA, and Prashanti School in Puri, India, has enormous beneficial effect on the children they support. Through WFF’s sponsor and donor contributions full educational scholarships, room, meals, clothing, medical / dental care, and a loving family environment are created by the staff for the children who reside at Prashanti School residential complex. These are children who come from extremely impoverished circumstances. Additionally, these contributions have funded the construction of a state-of-the-art English immersion school facility, not only for these residential students, but also for local village children who would not have the ability to receive this type of education. Without the work of WFF and Prashanti School, they most likely would remain trapped in the cycle of poverty.
The Board of Directors of World Family Foundation is an all-volunteer group of dedicated individuals who are committed to continue the work of WFF for the benefit of these children. Approximately 95% of donations go directly to programs and facilities for the children.
We are blessed to be a part of this excellent nonprofit.
Sincerely,

Where to begin: World Family Foundation has a holistic approach to providing destitute children from kindergarten to high school with lodging, food, medical & dental care, education, tutoring, extracurricular activities, but especially a value-based character building curriculum while honoring the culture through a Loving supportive staff. Yes, it's a family.
As a sponsor, I receive hand written letters & artwork as well as newsletters with photos of smiling children which melts my heart. It's a foundation built on transparency & Love.
With Heartfelt Gratitude to WFF,

I always wanted to be part of an organization that mattered – to someone, somewhere. That made a difference to the lives of people. World family Foundation does just that in supporting the life of numerous underprivileged children to receive an education and a safe environment. There is an imaginable amount of poverty in the world. Particularly children who grow up in such poverty are often refused the chance of education. World Family Foundation has giving me the opportunity to serve and make a real difference in the life of a child.
I visit them every time I am in India. They are doing wonderful job, taking care of the children, teaching them in very high standard. Love their dedication. I don't know how they can improve.
They are doing fantastic. The entire staff is completely dedicated to the organization. I wrote a message about them in greatnonprofits site. They are so good that every year I see some improvement with their processes. I love it. I would suggest every body to consider donating and volunteering for a great organization like this.
I started sponsoring a kid from World Family Foundation (WFF) more than five years back. My aunty in Long Beach suggested that I should get engaged with WFF. Since I am originally from Puri, India area, I was very excited that an organization from here is helping the poor in my region. First I began sponsoring a little girl at Prashanti School residential children’s home in Puri, India, through the sponsorship program run by WFF. I visited India frequently and had a great time going to the school with my kids and enjoying the company of all the kids in Prashanti school including the girl was sponsoring. I know first-hand over the years that still there are people in my region who live in extreme poverty. I have seen many children still going hungry to bed and without a safe place to live. Those poor kids can't dream to get a proper education. I really wanted to make some difference in the life of at least one child. I thank World Family Foundation for giving me the platform and opportunity to offer real help. In the beginning, I liked the WFF program because every penny donated goes directly into projects for the children. They provide free food, housing, clothing, medical care, education, and daily tutoring to children. They provide opportunities to those helpless children who would not have gone anywhere to get help. That impresses me the most. WFF board member Elizabeth Burnett founded the school in India and is an amazing soul. Every time I visited the school in Puri, I met her and was so impressed by the high level of dedication, and the love she has for the kids. Now I am sponsoring another kid. It is a boy this time. The girl I was sponsoring before, graduated and left the school. I am so impressed with the organization that I also suggested a non-profit organization from San Jose, CA to donate more than $1000 to the school. I like the way the fund is handled. All monetary contributions through sponsorship and donation are treated as a sacred trust. My kids were part of the organization too and they try to help in whatever way they can. I would recommend all my friends to consider donating and sponsoring a kid from World Family Foundation. God bless the organization.

As a financial consultant, return on investment is very important to me when I donate money or time to something. While some non-profits siphon off off more than 30% for administration, marketing, etc., this non-profit spends funds where they do the most for the recipients. I'm assured the dollars go directly where I want them to go...to the children who need help. It's an all volunteer organization that is able to turn the lives around for many families. And truly, this is the best return on investment of all...knowing you are helping make the biggest difference you can imagine!
I first became involved with World Family Foundation (WFF) in 2004, when I began sponsoring a little boy at Prashanti School residential children’s home in Puri, India, through the sponsorship program run by WFF. I had been visiting India frequently since 1973, and I saw first-hand over the years how even though the economy of India had improved, there were pockets of intractable, extreme poverty that just never seemed to change. I saw so many children still without support, without enough to eat, without a safe place to live, and without the means to get a decent education - impoverished children who were doomed to the life of extreme poverty that had defined their families for generations. I wanted to make a real difference in the life of at least one child… and World Family Foundation has given me the opportunity to offer real help!
I liked the WFF program because the non-profit was all-volunteer, and nearly every penny donated goes directly into projects for the children. Sponsorship through WFF provides free food, housing, clothing, medical care, education and daily tutoring to children with no source of support. Additionally, one of the guiding principals of the organization is to honor the children’s own local culture and religion. This was very important to me. I got to know the WFF board members and Elizabeth Burnett who founded the school in India, and is the director there. Over time, I became more and more impressed by the high level of integrity, the dedication, and the love that is poured into the project. I decided to sponsor a second child at Prashanti School!
Slowly but surely I became more involved with WFF, and in 2007 I joined the WFF Board of Directors. My husband and I began personally visiting Prashanti School in Puri, India, and something happened… we fell in love! We fell in love with the school, and these amazing children who, despite their devastatingly difficult backgrounds, were bright, sweet, kind to each other, and so very eager to learn.
I highly recommend World Family Foundation to anyone who wants to truly help impoverished, marginalized children. All monetary contributions through sponsorship and donation are treated as a sacred trust. This is a program that is creating real, lasting change, helping children to have a better childhood, and a chance for a brighter future.
Many Blessings,
Leslie B.
