Causes: Consumer Protection
Mission: World against toys causing harm, inc. ("w. A. T. C. H. ") is a nonprofit organization dedicated to children's causes. While informing the public about hazardous toys, children's products and other hazards associated with certain recreational activities, w. A. T. C. H. Is committed to raising awareness about unsafe children's products. W. A. T. C. H. Continues to work to prevent unnecessary injuries and deaths through research and education.
Programs: W. A. T. C. H. Raises awareness and informs the public about child safety issues through written materials, speeches, workshops, and presentations geared toward consumers, parent groups, schools and other organizations (including qcap head start, the quincy braintree family network cfce, and lasalle university). The bi-annual conferences, the fall "toy safety conference and the spring "summer safety conference," have generated extensive national press and media coverage. W. A. T. C. H. 's efforts in protecting children has been chronicled by many national media outlets including the doctors, megyn kelly today, fox & friends, larry king live, dateline, good morning america, the today show, 60 minutes, and cnn news. In 2017, appearances on the doctors and megyn kelly today disseminated important safety information to more than an estimated one million viewers. The positive responses from the media and the public have resulted in numerous toy and product design changes and children's lives have been saved. The annual "10 worst toy list", as well as the conferences, workshops and media appearances are a few of the ways w. A. T. C. H. Continues to fight to protect children from unsafe toys and other children's products. By raising public awareness, w. A. T. C. H. Fights to ensure children's safety is a priority for the industry and government regulatory agencies.
