As a former donor I continue to get updates on their events which always look great. Imagine then how disappointed I was to see them honoring the CEO of one of their sponsors:

I have never seen "pay to play" as blatant as this. And truly, can the CEO of Twitter truly take credit for the good ways his platform is used? What about all of the trolling and character defamation that also happens on his platform? Certainly he is not responsible for those either.
Really disappointed with the WAC.

Mission: The mission of the World Affairs Council of Northern California is to engage the public in the exploration of issues and opportunities that transcend borders.
Programs: Headquartered in San Francisco, the World Affairs Council of Northern California has helped the local and extended community better understand the world since 1947. The Council provides a forum for the open discussion of global affairs with heads of state, leading policymakers, captains of industry, scholars, authors and artists from around the world. The Council offers programs throughout the Northern California with the help of our Chapters, Young Professionals, Corporate members, and Schools Program. The Council's weekly radio program, "It's Your World", is broadcast every Monday at 8 PM on KQED (88.5 FM). The radio show is also syndicated nationally through the NPR network. In recognition that new leaders emerge everyday, the World Affairs Council's membership is, and will always remain, open.
