Programs: Workcred is actively engaged in numerous activities to promote awareness of competency-based, industry-recognized workforce credentials, and to support efforts to improve the quality, transparency, portability, and market value of these important tools. Workcred's business activities include research services, consulting services, and education/collaborative services. Research servicesworkcred's research projects focus on industry and public needs and currently address the relationship between quality, market value, and effectiveness; employer signaling; mapping the credentialing landscape; and the globalization of credentials. Consultative servicesworkcred provides fee-for-service consultation to government, corporations, professional and trade organizations, and education institutions in key areas including: evaluating the quality and value of current credential(s) to industry; revising current credential(s) to meet a specified standard and validated industry needs; building new credential(s) to meet a specified standard and validated industry needs; creating appropriate credentials for a specific career pathway; using a competency-based approach to efficiently stack credentials in a career pathway; aligning credentials to education/training, credentialing, and validated industry needs. Education and collaborative servicesworkcred's education initiatives include conducting workshops and webinars on key workforce issues, lecturing at academic institutions, presenting at professional conferences, and serving on national task forces/panels/boards. Workcred's collaborative services identify and respond to industry issues related to workforce credentials that require solutions and industry consensus.
