This is the most amazing nonprofit. Not only do they organize work projects that directly benefit other nonprofits in town, they help educate the community about what these nonprofits do. WOHO has organized two work days at the Autism Treatment Center and both were huge successes. The volunteers got so much accomplished in just 2 hours because the project was so well organized. I can't say enough good things about this group. We are huge fans!

The WOHO team organized a volunteer project for the Autism Treatment Center on Saturday, September 24th and it was amazing. We had about 45 volunteers help clean up our playground and spread a mountain of mulch in just 2 hours. We also have a few volunteers power washing dirt and grime off our building and sidewalks. WOHO did a great job setting up the event, organizing the volunteers and communicating how things would go. They have a wonderful mission and are providing a huge service to our community

They are organized and we finished the projects with 30 minutes to spare. I feel more marketing/advertising would be the best because people need to know this.

Can I get a "WOHO"? 70+ volunteers showed up at The Academy at Morgan's Wonderland to make our campus shine! Not only did the volunteers work hard while having a good time, they also worked as a TEAM! They painted the fence around our campus, cleaned out and prepped our garden (which now has plants), and bleach washed all the doors inside and out. Mother Nature did interfere the day before with rain so the deck could not be stained. But that did not stop them from working! Never thought I would see smiles and hear laughter while doing this kind of outdoor work. And the music provided was AWESOME! If ever you get the chance to get a good work out while helping out please visit their website and Facebook page to see what opportunities are coming up and sign up! And stick around until the end to partake of a healthy snack provided by Your Sassy Chef Heather! Great job WOHO - we will definitely come calling again one day. God Bless you All!

The Work Out Help Out group has done several volunteer days at my nature preserve in north San Antonio (Bulverde Oaks). This group continues to impress. They bring a large group of energetic folks to do strenuous trail work and still have the energy to work out in their "breaks." Their leaders are motivating and exciting, and the volunteers they bring show up ready to get things done. It is an amazing concept...they work out...and they help out. If you need help, need a work out, or want to help out, seek out this wonderful group.

The team from WOHO showed up at the River Road Community Garden right on time, full of energy and ready for work. We were so impressed with how professional, friendly and helpful the leadership and volunteers were!! In two hours the group of over 50 volunteers accomplished what would have taken 2 months to complete in our garden. Everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves and the camaraderie. Thank you!

WOHO is an amazing organization and a wonderful asset for our community ! I have had the honor and pleasure to take part in WOHO activities for wounded warrior project , habitat for humanity , local schools , big brother big sister , elderly citizens as well as others! Each has been a fun , challenging physical workout while helping these organizations and people with whatever they had asked us to help with ! What a great way to give back or pay it forward and get in some exercise and have fun at the same time ! I love WOHO and highly recommend participating in their activities !

I have participated in a few Work-Out-Help-Out (WOHO) events and had an amazing experience each time. All the fellow volunteers were friendly and eager to get to know each other. The organizers, Bill and Paul, were especially welcoming and made sure everyone had a job to do, fostering the sense of community and stewardship amongst the volunteers. What I most appreciated during the events, was how volunteer work would be spiced up with short work out sessions. During these intervals, Paul and Bill would do a great job in educating volunteers on the importance of health and exercise. It is hard to attain a state of physical fitness, so every source of motivation helps. I will definitely be volunteering with Work-Out-Help-Out again. Positive atmosphere and great people!

I have been getting back in shape over the last few months. I all so have been wanting to be more active and give back. I saw this as the perfect combo and it really was!!!! The people were great and they made volunteering not seem drab. Everyone should join and spend atleast one day a month minimum giving back. If you want to do more they do it every week. The work out wasn't bad either they let you go at your pace and level. So you don't have to be a fitness model or an athlete to participate. I attached my picture. If I can do it anyone can.

Work Out Help Out, WOHO, is a great way to combine physical fitness with local community service.
I have been to many of the WOHO events and each one is more rewarding than the last.
As part of WOHO, I have helped plant and maintain community gardens, clean up local parks, help remove graffiti, help people move, and assist with various local charities.
Throughout each event, everyday activities are incorporated as physical exercises. There have been walking lunges, step ups, air squats, push ups, farmers walks, and jumping rope, to name a few.
The WOHO coaches actively participate in the events and make it a point to coordinate activities for all fitness levels and ages.
If you are looking for a way to change up your daily fitness routine, come to a WOHO event and be ready for a great workout, while you help out our local community.

Food for the soul - San Antonio Tx - should be in every city, town, neighborhood. The idea is to get blood moving, stretch and help out someone or something in need of a helping hand. Cleaning out or designing or tearing apart or organizing sheds, garages, yards, paving paths. A team of volunteers meet and work out by helping out. Give any length of time you can to a small project. My experience was just a quick get together at a small whole foods type store to get fresh food information then a stretch! That was it. Felt great afterwards and no fees. Some folks are regulars and some only go to meets when they can! Love this group and the passion behind this start-up! The Best Get off the Couch for an hour ever .... :-) The staff are supportive trainers and knowledgeable, not just wonderful people!!!!

I've started volunteering with this group two years ago from meetup. I had just moved to the city and I enjoy volunteering so I gave it a try. I love that while giving back I'm also getting a workout in. Staying fit and volunteering is awesome sauce! !!

I've volunteered with Work Out Help Out twice since moving to San Antonio. There is a certain energy that is unique to the people who work with WOHO. It's unlike anything I've ever experienced. not only are the people excited to make small changes in their community, they all work in motivating each other through the exercises. It's probably the only time I laugh while holding a plank. When many people talk about making a difference in the community, they forget that one of the simplest ways that you can make a difference is through kindness and encouragement of others, and I've found that here. As someone who has trouble narrowing down my interests (I want to do everything and be everywhere), the fact that the "Help Out" changes every time is something i can really appreciate. This process takes you to places in San Antonio that you may not have known about, and you are always making a direct difference in whatever organization you are working on.

WOHO is awesome! I've enjoyed beautifying my community and the work out routines are no joke. If you're busy and want to knock out two things that are important to you all at once connect with these guys at their next event! You'll leave feeling more than accomplished!
