Causes: Women, Womens Studies
Mission: This organization is organized as a nonprofit corporation to engage exclusively in charitable and educational activities.
Programs: Dedicated to inspiring and enabling women around the world to achieve their full potiential. This requires building on the contributions of three women of the acequia madre house and advancing their work in the arts, sciences, cultural preservation and business. Wisc honors women's accomplishments, supports study and research, and facilitales intergenerational, multi-cultural and cross disciplinary dialogue. To accomplish this, programs have included recognizing women in achievement, hositng fellows in residence who work focuses on or is by women in four ares of interest; sponsoring wsic conversations in various venues and media, convening symposia, preserving wisc's home, the acequia madre house and its collections; assisting with the preservation of and access to the acequia madre house archive.
