My wife and I accidentally discovered Women Empowering Women about a year ago, and have helped it ever since. WEWS feeds and clothes hundreds of needy people in Limestone County. Although the organization is small, it organizes food drives that collect thousands of pounds of food, and then distributes it free of charge. It collects and distributes clothes at a local park. The members purchased at their own expensive, boxed, then gave away 120 complete thanksgiving dinners, including a large turkey in each, this past November. It is a wonderful charity.
Women Empowering Women provides support to women, children, and families. They operate an emergency food bank, distribute school supplies at the start of the school year and hold a clothing giveaway several times per year. A wonderful group of women who feel called to lift up others in the community.
