Mission: Willowbrooks mission is to promote the development of childrens creative potential. Willowbrook runs a 6-week outdoor summer arts camp that serves children of all ages.
Programs: Willowbrook arts camp is a 6-week outdoor summer arts program that serves children ages 3 to 18 and provides opportunities for campers to explore the arts. Willowbrooks unique program is based upon child choice - where children can choose from different art centers. Areas include dance, drama, writing, music, fiber and clay arts, photography, video production and nature. The program also offers work opportunities for high school and college students, and research opportunities for college students. Over 1700 children attended in 2017. Willowbrook also has an outreach program to provide opportunities for minority children and children from economically disadvantaged families to experience art first hand. In 2017 willowbrook gave financial assistance to children to attend the camp through scholarships, financial aid and gifts. Willowbrook provides opportunities for children to develop their creative potential through experiences in the arts and environmental studies in an atmosphere that mentors and nutures the whole child, promotes a spirit of peaceful collaboration, and encourages individual exploration and expression.
