Mission: WildRescue, Inc./Rabbit Rescue is a key component for the wildlife effort in the north Texas area. We intake over 600 animals per year, answer the public's questions regarding wildlife with 50+ calls per day. We offer wildlife training seminars (open to the public) and in-school programs regarding co-existance with wildlife. Rabbit's Rest is an American Sanctuary Association accredited sanctuary that houses 100 rescued domestic rabbits. This facility provides short and long-term care for these rabbits and is the core of our adoption/education program. Below is our official mission statement.WildRescue's Mission Statement reads:WildRescue, Inc. is dedicated to rescuing stray, unwanted and abused domestic rabbits and/or other such designated "pocket pets" (including birds) from the animal shelters and from the local community, (the Dallas/Fort Worth area) providing medical care, shelter, food, safety and adoption to responsible homes while educating the public regarding issues facing animals through articles, public awareness and events to promote humane treatment of animals. WildRescue, Inc. also encourages and facilitates correct medical care including animal vaccinations, spaying and neutering of domestic rabbits.WildRescue, Inc. is also dedicated to rescuing injured and orphaned wildlife for the purpose of rehabilitation and release back into the wild of that animal while also educating the public on issues facing wildlife through articles, public awareness and events to promote the coexistence of wildlife in our communities; and either directly or indirectly, either alone or in conjunction, or in cooperation with others, to do any and all lawful acts and things to engage in any lawful activities which may be necessary, useful, suitable, desirable or proper for the furtherance, accomplishment, fostering or attainment of any and all of the purposes for which the Corporation is organized, and to aid or assist other organizations whose activities are such as to further, accomplish, foster or attain any of such purposes; provided, however, that the Corporation shall exercise only such powers as are in furtherance of any and all of the purposes for which the Corporation is organized.WildRescue, Inc. is also dedicated to honoring and respecting those volunteers and veterinarians who enable WildRescue, Inc. to accomplish it's goals.
