Mission: The whittier community center was established to enhance our community and neighborhood through the venue of a community and neighborhood center, and to maintain the historically significant whittier school building.
Programs: Provide space and support for local non-profit, civic, arts, and educational organizations. In 2014, approximately 30 organizations held regular meetings at the whittier center. An estimated 1,600 people each week visit the whittier center to participate in these programs. Expenses include all those required to operate and maintain the building.
the whittier community center organized several events both to raise funds and provide community service. These included: ren faire, the historic halloween carnival, and polar express.
