As a member of a local church that some of the Well men attend, I have seen many of the men in this program change as they learn what Christ can do for them in their lives. To see them walk into church on Sunday, perhaps their first time in a church, perhaps it's been awhile, they are nervous and feeling a bit out of place, and then 6 months and those who stay the whole year...wow! What a change. The Well has helped many men change their lives, and I know it can be hard with grocery stores not giving what they use to give, and donations drying up. When the economy goes down so does the support for needed charities and help centers. When the economy starts to go up, the charities are the last to see the donations increase. I know that there are around 60 or so men involved in this program year round, and feeding them 3 meals a day, 7 days a week must be a challenge. 180 meals a day, 1260 meals a month, and 5418 meals a month for a grand total of 65,700 meals a year, that only counts the men served in the program, did I mention that they have food boxes once a week for the community, and share with the other churches and rescue missions and help centers throughout the Butte county area, they need our help...keep up the good work.
