Mission: WAM strives to meet the needs of families in the MENA region impacted by various, multi-layered crises by delivering aid to survivors of war, natural disasters, persecution, and economic collapse who are in need of food, water, medicine, clothing, sanitation, safety, and shelter.
Results: By working closely with partners on the ground in the areas where we operate, we have been able to deliver resources efficiently and effectively for over ten years. We are not just providing families with a meal for a day, but helping to build capacity to sustain those families into the future.
Target demographics: those suffering from the effects of war, man-made and natural disasters, persecution, poverty, lack of access to necessities, etc.
Direct beneficiaries per year: create 200 urban rooftop gardens; found adopters for 14 churches; delivered 20,400 food parcels, 14,000 hot meals, and 4,500 hygiene kits; financially support 750 students from 50 schools with tuition and provided school supplies for another 3,000 students; deliver 25,000 diapers and 11,000 baby wipes; deliver, with our partners, $10m in medical supplies and drugs; 1,500 families stay warm with our Winterization project; and so much more!
Geographic areas served: the MENA region: Lebanon and expanding outward to Jordan, Egypt, Turkey, and Iraq.
Programs: agriculture and feeding programs; medicine and medical supply support; children's camps; training programs; women's empowerment; capacity-building; Adopt-a-Church; mother and infant support; aid to the disabled and special needs.
