Mission: Exempt purpose is to enrich community through sustainable food and civility intiatives.
Programs: Educational programs include everyday civility, a program focused on promoting civility in the workplace and improving employee morale. One step at a time helps small growers create and market shelf-stable food products. Real food camp educates youth about critical food issues such as food insecurity, food safety, and nutrition. Hearts and homes historic teas share household tips and issues of the day from historic issues of wallaces' farmer magazine. Food for thought dinners combine a locally-sourced menu with faciliated conversation about food.
community service income was derived from subscribers sharing the risk and bounty of the growing season by purchasing a share in the farm's fruit and vegetable production.
"sharing the abundance of joyous living," the meals at the country life center bring the garden's abundance direct to the table and encourages community building with customers sharing tables and conversation.
