Walking For Our Seniors

Target demographics: We help Seniors to stay in their home for as long as possible. We pay for Respite Caregivers to aide seniors in our communities with their day-to-day activities. If it takes a village to raise a child, it also takes a village to care for an elder. This is the method of thinking we must adopt if we’re to meet the demands of our aging population. We do our best to help delay or avoid long-term institutional care for as long as possible. I’ve met and worked with many elders that were either able to stay at home much longer thanks to the care of family, neighbors, and church members, or could have stayed at home much longer if a support system was in place.

Programs: We pay for lower-income seniors companion caregiver to provide respite care to assists with day-to-day activities providing our seniors with a sense of independence. Benefits of our services: • Medication Reminders – Peace of mind that your loved one is taking their medications correctly • Hygiene and Bathing – Improved health and a sense of normalcy/routine • Dressing and Grooming – Improved sense of self (Self-Esteem) – feeling like themselves again • Hydration and Nutrition – Maintain health/weight – socialization with meals – can help make favorite family recipes. • Light Homemaking – Take things off the family’s “chore list” when they visit. Maintain a healthy environment • Exercise and Activities of Daily Living – Help maintain a healthy daily routine. • Transportation to Doctor and Errands – Give them a sense of independence to not have to rely on the family’s busy schedule. • Extensive Personal Care – Expert professional caregivers to provide the hands-on care. Relief from the family having to violate mom/dad’s privacy. Peace of mind. • Comprehensive Evaluation – We will handle the details! We’ve got this!
