A Bold Story Never Ends (ABSNE) is one of the best ran nonprofits in the Houston area, particularly those that address mental health. One woman, Antwanette Weaver, is almost single-handedly bringing attention to mental health issues in the Black Community as well as the broader society. There is no other group in Fort Bend County engaged in this level of work. Under her leadership, this organization has built an extensive network of schools, churches, businesses, other nonprofits, local elected officials, and individuals who all support enhancing the mental health of local residents particularly that of children and teenagers. ABNSE sponsors an annual fun run, workshops, symposiums, Fatherhood Initiatives, teen pregnancy programs, and college scholarships for local students. So, this organization is doing a lot in the community and will do much more in the years to come.

As a board member of SamarLeyte Texas, I have had the privilege of witnessing the incredible impact and memorable experiences that our organization brings to the community. Joining this community-oriented group has been a life-changing experience filled with warmth, camaraderie, and a shared mission to uplift and preserve our Filipino heritage.<br><br>One of the most rewarding experiences as a board member has been organizing and participating in the various impactful programs that SamarLeyte Texas offers. One of our flagship initiatives is the scholarship program, which provides financial assistance to deserving students from Samar and Leyte who are pursuing higher education. It's truly remarkable to witness the transformation that these scholarships bring to the lives of our recipients, empowering them to strive for academic excellence and reach their full potential.<br><br>Another meaningful program we have implemented is our community outreach initiative. This involves conducting medical and dental missions, partnering with local organizations to provide essential resources to those in need. Witnessing the impact we have on improving the quality of life for vulnerable individuals and families is both humbling and inspiring. We are able to make a tangible difference in our community by offering medical examinations, dental check-ups, and basic healthcare education.<br><br>As a board member, it is also heartwarming to witness the growth and development of our members. As a first year Executive Director of the Raphael Community Free Clinic, I have found the TXACC organization to be a great resource for me and our clinic. TXACC is an active group that shares important information, charitable opportunities, and helps me partner with other clinics with similar concerns. I look forward to the next Leadership Gathering. I am a student who has recently received a scholarship from this foundation which has helped me immensely. These kind people are making change and not only helping students with tourettes but also helping kids with tourettes who want to go to camp where they can meet people like them! It was inspirational and heartwarming learning about Kenny and his personality and his story really resonated with me as a fellow Jedi. I am very grateful for the service this non-profit is doing to the Tourettes community.

This is the most elegant and classy organization; teaching, mentoring, with a strong mentorship for young girls. We really appreciate Sapphire Butterflies because the young girls need more guidance and the structure on how to gracefully exit the childhood phase and like the butterfly, transform gracefully into the beginning phase of the beautiful young lady. NLE is family. They are super-organized and develop the whole child. Basketball is a part of the larger picture that values education, leadership, sportsmanship, competition, and volunteerism through giving back to the community. I love how the organization has grown since inception and evolved into a world-class basketball program. We are so happy to be a part of this family.

This grassroots organization has been a vital part helping disadvantage communities and individuals and families find the resources needed that would not otherwise be available. The executive director is a woman who has a passion to help people to be empowered with support and education. She has worked in the community for over 25 years providing social services. I would recommend this organization.

I have been a volunteer for the Wade Smith Foundation (Dallas area) for two years now. The main thing I have participated with was the Wade Smith Charity Weekend here in Dallas and while there is always a lot going on, every part of it was rewarding. The football camp on Saturday morning this year included a cheer camp. My niece and nephew got involved as participants and they had a BLAST. My sister (their mom) has come with them both years and they look forward to coming back. The end results: helping the foundation to grow in recognition as well as with funding for the various initiatives they have going on. I WISH I could volunteer MORE throughout the year, but my work schedule won't allow it. <br> <br>Also, I want to add that Wade, his wife Rita, and his mother Sheila are all very personable individuals. Nothing like I expected of an NFL player and his family. My family has met them and grown to love them just as much as I do.

The facility on Rockley Road is a great school if you live in third world countries. Their treatment of the students of American born parents are unacceptable. Only the student who's parents are not native born get treated as if they were better than the students who's parent are from the U. S. For some reason they don't belive student from American born parents desire the same treatment as the children with parents from another country. Native born American children from parent from the U. S. are constantly ridiculed, and spoken to in a condesneding tone and their parents also. They are rude and just down right mean. I have been watching this facility since 2003 and it has only gotten worst. I did not know where to go to file a complaint, but I do now. I can contact the Texas Education Agency. This facility's infomation is well hidden but I did locate some key factors to contact and inform them of the mistreatment.
