Mission: VITA's founders -- the original VITA Volunteers -- were scientists and engineers interested in using their skills to help people in developing countries raise their standard of living. That commitment continues to guide VITA's activities today. VITA Volunteers work to help disseminate information on which people can base intelligence choices of technology. VITA's communications program has pioneered low-cost communications technologies that address "last mile" connectivity. VITA provides humanitarian assistance (in the event of natural disasters and man-made crises). Finally, VITA's long-term programs promote private sector growth, and help developing countries build their agricultural capacity and protect the environment.
It has greatly helped me and I have assisted a lot of people with your publications since my school days. I am most grateful for such assistance. In those years you use to send the publication to me by post, now I read them online. Thank you for such humanitarian assistance. Dr Lawal K/Sauri Yahaya, Katsina, Nigeria.
