Mission: We are matchmakers for volunteers and nonprofits. Through our site, volunteers are connected with opportunities at nonprofit agencies in connecticut. You can sign up to receive custom eblasts, our monthly newsletter and subscribe to our weekly blog. We are committed to building community. Through our weekly blog and our social media sites, we share stories about the incredible service work our volunteers and nonprofit agencies do every day.
Programs: Our service program is all about the website and our social media and blogging engagement. To that end we recruited 300 new volunteers and ended the year with 1720 total volunteers. 30 new agencies registered on the site and we ended the year with 312 nonprofit agencies. 2) we began our high school internship program with 5 students and now have over 25 by the end of 2017. In addition we continue to increase the number of submissions to our high school essay contest from 77 in 2016 to 127 essays last year. 3)we started a professional development meeting series for nonprofit agencies in 2016 has become very popular with meeting once a quarter
