Conducts its business using the name vns personal care services. Community benefit - during 2013 vns personal care services provided care services for 103 clients in ohio. Private duty services for 2013:private duty nursing - private duty nursing was performed in the home or in settings such as assisted living facilities. A registered nurse or licensed practical nurse provided care depending on client need. Home health aides - assisted patients with personal care, including shaving, bathing, dressing and helping patients in and out of bed. Homemakers - prepared meals, performed light housekeeping and laundry duties, carried out errands such as shopping for groceries and picking up prescriptions. Companion/sitters - provided companionship and a sense of security in the patient's home or at the hospital. Same-day surgery - transported patients to and from outpatient surgery, picked up prescriptions, prepared meals and assisted with personal care of patients after they return home. Community outreach programs for 2013:personal care services, inc. Provided exhibitor booths for 6 community events including the canton senior expo, medina county senior day, and akron general arthritis fair. Activities consisted of distribution of health education materials and blood pressure screenings. Speaker's bureau - provided professional speakers for various groups and organizations. Community blood pressure screenings - provided free blood pressure screening and education to various community groups and senior centers.
