Programs: ? Homebuyer Education & Counseling ? Averages 250 graduates and 15 new homeowners per year; down payment assistance is afforded graduates that meet income qualifications. Credit counseling and foreclosure intervention counseling is also encompassed within this component. ? Financial Literacy ? Averages 250 adult graduates annually; youth financial literacy and leadership program embodies a proactive approach ? teaching the importance of saving and how to avoid perils of excessive credit, while introducing qualities of effective leadership.? Prescription Assistance ? This program, through alliance with the various pharmaceutical companies, allows any uninsured, indigent adult that requires regular maintenance medications to qualify for free or low-cost medications.? GED Program ? In collaboration with MS Gulf Coast Community College, has graduated 27 successful applicants since the program began in 2004. Impressive test scores have afforded all graduates free college courses.? Tax Preparation & E-Filing ? Over the past four filing seasons, returns processed by Visions resulted in over 2.3 million dollars in refunds.
