Mission: Virtuosi of Houston is a 501 (c)(3) organization whose mission is to create a pre-professional climate and performance opportunities for Houston''s most focused young musicians, regardless of race, religion or financial status and to bring an expanded repertoire of chamber music works to the Greater Houston area.
Programs: Virtuosi of Houston gives two chamber music orchestra performances per year at the prestigious Hobby Center for the Performing Arts, 500-seat Zilkha Hall; tickets for this venue are kept affordable. Virtuosi also retains a significant number of free tickets to distribute to senior citizens, Houston Public Library volunteers, and MD Anderson Hospital volunteers,and other organizations working with families, children and seniors. The third concert is held at our annual fundraising concert and dinner. Virtuosi of Houston also takes classical music to the public as quartets and duos performed at malls, senior citizen homes, and other private venues, thus enriching the lives of many Houstonians.
