Virginia hospital center strives to serve the health care needs of its community through the provision of the highest quality clinical care, achievement of the highest levels of patient satisfaction, provision of state of the art facilities and equipment, provision of innovative information technology, investment in the professional growth and development of its employees, and prudent management of the organization's resources.
Programs: Virginia hospital center foundation is the philanthropic arm of virginia hospital center. Virginia hospital center foundation inspires charitable giving to support the tax-exempt purpose of virginia hospital center. 2016 accomplishments:over the course of 2016, virginia hospital center foundation made signficant advancements in retaining and attracting new supporters, appealing to major donors to support major hospital projects, acquiring legacy gift commitments, and developing new partnerships and community events. The support of the community helped virginia hospital center to expand service lines, acquire new medical technologies, train and educate staff, and enhance community education and screening programs. In 2016, the foundation received major gifts to support campus expansion. In addition, the foundation conducted focused fundraising efforts on behalf of low-income mothers & babies, telemedicine, cancer resource center, childhood obesity, & nursing.
