Causes: Arts & Culture, Bands & Ensembles
Mission: The victor band boosters is (vbb) a charitable not-for-profit dedicated to the support and advancement of the extra-curricular music programs in the victor school district, in victor, ny. Vbb provides the financial and logistical support to allow groups like the victor marching band, the winter color guards, and winter indoor percussion ensemble to compete at the top levels of the state, and travel to competitions to compete nationally. Our success is not measured in championships (although there are many), rather in the ability for the groups to continue to improve and thrive, "preparing people to perform and in life. "
Programs: Funded and supported field band (92 students, 8 competitions), and three winter groups: indoor percussion (8 competitions, varsity and cadet color guards (appx 60 students, 20 competitions). Each group has at least six staff paid by the boosters in addition to those paid by the school district; over 200 hours of education and rehearsal time per group, 8 or more local competitions each and 5 regional competition trips to locations in ohio, new jersey and pennsylvania.
