Mission: Vermont interfaith action is a faith-based, grassroots coalition of congregations that transforms ordinary people into empowered and engaged citizens. Our goal is to create the hope, power, knowledge, and political will needed to make compassion and social justice a reality for all vermonters.
Programs: Vermont interfaith action (via) is a federation of congregations working together to improve the quality of lives for families and individuals in vermont. Current efforts include creating more affordable housing in chittenden county, extending health care coverage to all vermonters, improving education for new americans and low-income families in burlington and winooski, improving public transportation in chittenden and bennington counties, promoting reform of the state corrections system, promoting greater transparency in the state budget, and addressing homelessness in central vermont and the brattleboro area. Via's activities positively impacted approximately 40,000 people, directly or indirectly, in fiscal year 2017.
