Mission: To promote the arts in local communities and to educate members of the public about art primarily by creating free of cost venues on the eastside of king county for artists to show their work to the public at large. To create venues in the eastside for artists to have their work shown and appreciated by the public. By doing so, vala eastside will fulfill its larger vision of helping the eastside become a thriving art center, enabling the showcasing of artwork for artists and invigorating the cultural scene of the community.
Programs: Art festival held at redmond town center provides local artists with space to display/sell their work. Some 5,000 people attended the two day festival.
game on exhibit: graphic artists who help create video games were featured in this exhibit that was free to the public. Some 1,000 visitors viewed the exhibit.
sculptures in motion: kinetic structures were featured in this exhibit that was free to the public. Some 500 people viewed the exhibit.
