Ventura County Arts Council

Programs: The organization sponsors the visual and performing arts residency program in county juvenile facility "providence school. " the residency program for visual and performing arts for the incarcerated youth in the county's year-round court run school. The organization's rentry through the arts -contracting with an experienced local instructor to teach knitting to formerly incarcerated women taking part in the county probation agengy's steps program, managed by the county the county human services agency. The instructor will teach a 2-hour class every week in which participants will also learn to teach knitting and have an opportunity to sell their work in a retail environment where y can also receive job training.
