Mission: The mission of the black canyon regional land trust is to serve as a non- political, non-governmental organization that encourages and assists private landowners in preserving and sustaining the rural heritage, natural, and cultural conservation values primarily in the watersheds of the uncompahgre, north fork of the gunnison, and lower gunnison rivers and surrounding areas, for the benefit of the public, today and in perpetuity.
Programs: During the fiscal year ended march 31, 2018, black canyon regional land trust continued to preserve and protect approximately 340 conservation easements, covering 52,226 acres in 6 counties in southwest colorado.
