Causes: Animal Husbandry, Food
Mission: Our organization seeks to enhance utah pork producer opportunities by establishing the utah pork industry as a consistent and responsible supplier of high quality pork. We do this through consumer promotion, research and education, and resource development.
Programs: Consumer information & promotion: our organization has successfully created videos and classroom resources for educators. We have established recipes and cooking methods on our website. Additionally, we have created the youth pork institute which is a two day programe that educates students actively involved in agriculture and pork production. Each of these things helps to establish a strong consumer base and awareness, which in turn drives demand for utah pork.
research & education: our organization helps utah pork producers by providing them with resources to efficiently run a high quality production process. We have helped fund university research projects as well as other porgrams. Each of our programs seeks to increase the quality of pork while increasing the quality of conditions for the animals.
production tech & education: our industry's greatest resource are the people who support it. We offer producer training, internshihps, and have a high quality staff available to producers. We provide a forum where pork producers can unite and encourage youth to continue to actively participate in our agricultural communities.
