Programs: Tennis programs: distributions to districts: the section receives various funds from usta national, of which portions are distributed to the districts of the section for tennis programs. Usta league activities: usta league is the country's largest recreational tennis league, helping participants get on the court, have a good time, and step up their game. The league is organized as competitive team match play. Other tennis programs include community development activities, adult and senior national events, junior tournament activities, officials activities, volunteer committees and councils, and multicultural participation activities.
member services and public relations:member service and public relation activities promote and encourage membership and raise awareness of the game of tennis. The usta/mas serves almost 39,000 members in the district of columbia, maryland, virginia, and eastern and southern west virginia. Tennis players of all ages and skill levels are involved in leagues, tournaments and programs sanctioned by the section.
