Mission: The purpose of the corporation is to protect the aquatic health, riparian health, water resources and environment of the upper colorado river basin by enhancing and restoring damaged or degraded sections of the upper colorado river to enhance public fishing and recreation opportunities in the area. The corporation also educates the public on matters relating to the aquatic and riparian health of the upper colorado river and conducts scientific research and data collection pertaining to hydrology, water use, water management and the aquatic and riparian health of the colorado river both under current conditions and as projected against possible future climate conditions. The corporation also acquires, enforces and protects water rights, conservation easements and other real property and personal property interests that further the preservation of aquatic and riparian health, fishing access, water resources and open spaces in the upper colorado river basin.
