During the 2016-2017 academic year, the university granted 1,858 associate's, bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees, representing the colleges of arts and sciences, westbrook college of health professions, college of osteopathic medicine, college of graduate and professional studies, college of dental medicine and college of pharmacy. The university offers programs in osteopathic medicine, allied health sciences, liberal arts, pharmacy, dental medicine and other graduate and undergraduate majors. The goal is to promote an atmosphere rooted in civility and personal responsibility, and encourage reflective thinking and active involvement. The staff strives to teach, model, and learn with the students the values of community, inquiry, integrity, and caring. Maintaining a close relationship with student activities creates a positive impact on campus life for the entire university. Students are encouraged to actively engage in many arenas to become more deeply involved in the university, and thereby in their own education. These experiences outside the classroom can truly enhance those experiences students have within the classroom.
