University Of Louisiana At Lafayette Foundation

Programs: Academic support: the ul lafayette foundation supports the academic programs for the university of louisiana at lafayette by soliciting private donations, investing, and distributing expendable funds in the form of scholarships, chairs, professorships, honorariums, faculty development, capital projects and research subsidies. A portion of such distributions are louisiana board of regents support fund (borsf) matching gift funds. During the year, the foundation provided scholarship funds for over 1,100 students. It provided over 200 eminent scholar/distinguished professor awards, and research fellowships, funding salary subsidies, educational travel and professional enrichment. The organization awarded more than 100 honorariums in recognition of academic excellence throughout the fiscal year. The foundation also provided financial support for faculty development and classroom resources.

athletic program support: the ul lafayette foundation provided support for a variety of athletic programs including athletic scholarships, program enrichment, health/wellness, and facilities enhancement.

museum support: the foundation supported the paul and lulu hilliard university art museum, whose mission is to serve the students, faculty, and staff of the university of louisiana at lafayette and to enrich the lives of louisiana residents by fostering an understanding and appreciation of the visual arts. The museum has accumulated over 2,200 items in its permanent collection. It hosted over 40 special exhibits, lectures, and educational enrichment programs for toddlers, students, and adults during the fiscal year.
