Mission: "Helping people, changing lives, making every contribution count." United Way advances the common good in the four-county Portland/Vancouver region by mobilizing the human and financial resources of the community. Our work is focused on the building blocks for success: education, income and health.
Results: United Way funds more than 70 programs in the four-county Portland/Vancouver metro area and works with more than 150 partner agencies. In the past year, our programs reached over 100,000 in the Portland/Vancouver metro area in Oregon and Southwest Washington.
Target demographics: United Way of the Columbia-Willamette invests donor contributions in health and human services in Clark, Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington counties. Volunteers and community experts identify critical issues and make investment decisions that are targeted at the region’s most serious challenges. Through a commitment to collaboration, partnership and measured results, United Way improves people’s lives and creates long-term change in the community.
