The people who work at UWLC are some of the hardest working people I know. The amount of meetings, phone calls, research, planning, etc. that goes into their work, events, research, etc. is spellbinding. I know, because I worked with them last year as an Ameri Corps VISTA volunteer. I learned more in that one year about Lake County working with them than I have living in the county my entire life. Kudos to them all, and please donate-their programs help many children and families who otherwise would not get help or service.
United Way of Lake County provides valuable services to residents of Lake County and wonderful volunteer opportunities. My son and I had a wonderful experience walking in a local parade, spreading the word about the Page it Forward initiative to collect books for children. We are so thankful to be able to give back and help a great cause!
