2-1-1 is a free and confidential information and referral resource; an easy to remember phone number that connects individuals with resources in our community. 2-1-1 offers information on a broad range of services, including rent assistance, food banks, affordable housing, health resources, child care, after-school programs, elderly care, financial literacy, flu shot clinics, and job training programs.
the retired and senior volunteer program is america's largest volunteer network for people age 55 and over, consisting of over 400,000 volunteers nationwide. The united way rsvp is a local volunteer program that provides the critical link between volunteers and the needs in manitowoc county. The program recruits and places volunteers at non-profit public organizations, inlcuding community events and special projects. The mission of the program is to improve lives, strengthen communities and foster civic engagement through service and volunteering.
