Programs: During 2014, the us-ccu continued its effort to increase the understanding of cyber security in corporations, government agencies, and the general public. It offered courses in cyber threat analysis and cyber consequence analysis for general enrollment. It provided briefings to government officials and military leaders, both in the united states and among america's close nato and eu allies, including the uk, germany, canada, and australia. It continued its detailed investigations of security issues and best practices in electronics manufactoring with multiple on-site visits. It began new research efforts, exploring the role of cyber security in optical glass manufactoring, in ground transportation, including trucking, and in agricultural equipment manufactoring. It also carried out extensive interviews to update its information on security practices in financial services, software development, defense manufactoring, health care, telecommunications, retail stores, and electric power. These practical research efforts resulted in the new theoretical models. The us-ccu director and the us-ccu cheif technology officer gave speeches to raise cyber-security awareness and to inform cyber-security professionals of the latest us-ccu research findings. They also gave interviews to news media and provided journalists with tutorials and background briefings to improve their coverage of cyber-security issues.
