Network Time Foundation Inc is one of those organizations you’ve probably never heard of—and that’s the point. They help maintain the Network Time Protocol (NTP), which keeps billions of devices on the internet synchronized to a common clock. That might sound trivial, but it isn’t. Accurate time underpins everything from security certificates and authentication to distributed systems and financial transactions. When clocks drift, systems fail, in subtle but serious ways. NTF is doing the unglamorous but essential work of keeping this infrastructure reliable, secure, and open. It’s a great example of the “boring” foundational tech that the entire internet quietly depends on—and why supporting it matters, so I do.

This summer my daughter was a student at Tech Corp. She had a great time creating an interesting project, learning about new computer programs, meeting people who are as interested in technology as she is in computer design. She was happy because at the end of the course she received financial aid and was able to buy her own computer.

The non-profit organization is truly remarkable in its mission and impact. It dedicates itself to addressing critical social issues, providing support to underserved communities, and fostering positive change. One of the most amazing aspects is its ability to mobilize volunteers and resources effectively, creating a ripple effect of generosity and kindness. :)

BeHASSTic is a great non-profit organization with unique and effective education opportunities. As the Grand Prize winner of the Girls’ Computer Science Competition in 2023, coding was a fun experience that inspired me to further explore the field of computer science. I really enjoyed sharing my computer science journey with everyone in my video, and I hope to inspire other girls to code. BeHASSTic gave me this wonderful opportunity to pursue computer science. The organization also offers a variety of classes to help kids learn. Many thanks to BeHASSTic’s team for operating this amazing program!

My child started Waterford Upstart when he was four years old. He completed the pre-k portion and entered Kindergarten reading and writing at a 1st to 2nd grade level. He continued upstart simultaneously with kindergarten until he got bored with it and we opted out.<br><br>I highly suggest this program. It teaches reading in steps they make sense to children. I could never have got him reading so well without it!

When I connected with an OWASP Foundation Chapter (and the OWASP Foundation to a limited extent), I was personally attacked by former Foundation employees. At an Appsec Conference in Washington D.C., I was followed by people and attacked on a personal front again from (former) OWASP Foundation employees. At a non-OWASP event in Sparta, New Jersey, a woman approached me, invoked OWASP and made a remark about my person. A former volunteer harassed, lied and deceived me. The consistent pattern of harm to this Asian American woman makes me concerned about the level of professionalism of this nonprofit. I am also concerned about other women of color getting personally attacked, bullied and deceived by volunteers and/or members like I was. I hope no other Women of Color endure/suffer the harm that I have because they connected with OWASP.

My experience with the League of Amazing Programmers has been overwhelmingly positive. I have been attending since I was 13, and I have thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of my time with the school. The teachers are so supportive, genuine, and friendly, and I feel that I have developed meaningful relationships with many of them. I have grown up alongside some of the people who have been in my classes, and every time I go to the school I feel like I am surrounded by old friends. They are truly so receptive to student input, always adding new classes and modifying their curriculum based on improvements that their students suggest. In my experience the classes balance the social and didactic aspects of learning. The TA curriculum, in which a more advanced student assists those in less advanced classes, enhances this experience. This school has fueled my passion for programming in ways that I don’t know if any other experience could have. I truly love the League of Amazing Programmers, they are an excellent school, and I am so grateful for them. They have taught me not only how to program, but much more importantly how to think like a programmer, and I know that I am ahead of the vast majority of my peers in computer science because of their incredible staff, plethora of resources, and genuine interest in helping kids learn. I truly cannot emphasize enough how wonderful this school is and how profoundly grateful I am to have been able to attend.

I'm a professional in IT with a broad range of skills. IT4Causes is a wonderful opportunity for me to give back to the community using the skills I know. I love that I can contribute only the amount of time I can and when I want. The owner and staff are amazing to work with and I am rewarded by the knowledge that I may have helped the new generation of IT professionals and the companies that serve noble causes. My boys loved camp this summer!! They were welcomed with open arms after starting late! We were concerned with my 1st grader, with being ready for school and being on track with his reading skills! Ms. Melanie got him right! Now he is in the top reading group in his class! My 5th grader absolutely loved coding! He has continued to use it outside of camp and continued to create his own YouTube channel. Overall the camp is so inspiring and enriching! So glad my boys were accepted into the program!

TOTAL, Inc. is an organization that not only provides you excellent, professional service, but grooms our youth in the process. I was practically duped by another company and TOTAL, Inc. saved the day. This organization provides website, marketing, and technical support by using skilled students, while also providing them with opportunities to further their competency sets. It is a win for EVERYONE! I highly recommend the use and support of this org. You will not regret doing so!

I wish I had more time to dedicate to the fssf, cause even though the whole community is online, people on it are really a-ma-zing! and I do mean it! People who are nice, friendly and keen to help!

I wish I had a resource like Digital NEST when I was in high school - Digital NEST is a great organization supporting the youth of Watsonville, CA (Santa Cruz Counties) and Salinas, CA (Monterey County). These youth are located in communities of largely minority, lower income, migrant farm-working families. Digital NEST aims to support the youth of these communities - by providing them access to technology, software, computers, a safe space where they can find supportive mentors, and training for invaluable tech & business skills. Through these resources, youth are able to reach for better and higher paying careers in several fields. I have seen first-hand how youth come in to take workshops in a certain career area and blossom into these fearless and talented adults.

MIRI is one of the few beacons of research on AI safety, called the control problem. They collaborate with the future of humanity institute and the FLI. This is perhaps the most important research of our times, given the possibility of advanced AI fairly soon(estimates place about 50% probability for the year 2050). I would highly recommend that you support MIRI in their efforts.

Software Freedom Conservancy brings together unique legal and technical knowledge to help free/open source software projects meet community/governance/legal/organizational challenges and thrive.

This organization was started about twelve years ago, as a break-off from another computer club, here in Grants Pass. Those of us who formed COMPUTERBUGS had a different agenda going and decided to work with seniors in a different manner. Some members still belong to both clubs, with assisting them with computer skills being the main agenda. <br> <br>We have been a non-profit organization since the beginning, when we formed our organization, wrote up our Bylaws and Constitution and proved to the IRS what we were doing was for the benefit of seniors in and around Grants Pass, Oregon. We had over 350 members, originally, but with the advancement of computers and going into Smartphones, IPads, etc., computers are being used less and less, so our membership stand around 80; thus, our funds are slowly disappearing and it is a little scary to understand that problem. We still have to pay rent and replace the laptop computer, every now and then, so we might have to adjust our membership fee's, which are quite low. Our group has a great newsletter that is put out monthly by our editor, Alan Burt. We are now meeting in a church, which is in the center of town, so that makes it easy for folks to travel to, whether one is a city or a county resident. We only meet twice a month, usually, for a Question & Answer ( Q & A) session and then on the second Wednesday, we have a presentation from someone on computer programs, photography, etc. <br> <br>Our group is a very friendly and fun group that members respond to, especially when seeking answers about computer problems that they might have come up with. We have adjusted our age requirement from being 55 and above, to any adult, basically. We're always looking for new members, whether they're computer proficient or a neophyte.

I Volunteered there about 2 years ago and have watched them Progress and expand beautiful. This is a true testament that all it takes an idea and the motivation to make it a success .Definitely would recommend this to any Students and General Public who have some spare time.I learnt how to use Ubuntu and have grown to love Linux as an alternative to Windows.I learnt of the importance of Volunteering and helping others as a Fundamental Block of everyone's Life. <br> <br>If you love Computers and would like to Give your Time,this is a great Place to start,Great Family and Support.

NTR is a great organization dedicated to helping low income Philadelphia residents with their technology needs. The store is stocked with low cost items and the staff and volunteers are helpful and knowledgeable. They work closely with students to provide a platform for them to learn and get experience they will need to succeed. I would definitely recommend NTR to anyone in the Philadelphia area who has technology needs and wants help understanding and learning more themselves.

Inveneo is great at getting internet connectivity to places where it's really hard to get. They're very smart about using alternative forms of connection where infrastructure is minimal, and getting the job done. That includes areas like Haiti, Kenya, and the West Bank.

I was a part of a group that met several times over the course of last year to offer feedback concerning a database that 3rc was putting together. The database includes information about youth programs in Pittsburgh and the surrounding area. They really are doing an incredible job trying to create a central database for information for funders and program providers. The site is www.swpaafterschool.org. It really is an incredible database that everyone should check out.

I had been a member of the ABI list for a few years before, but my first 'real' experience with ABI was in 2008 after I established a nonprofit organisation, W.TEC, focused on mentoring Nigerian women and girls in their use of information technology (www.w-teconline.org). We were planning a pilot technology camp for teenage girls and sourcing for funding when I learnt of the Pass it On grants. We applied and got it. I was thrilled and that was the start of a wonderfully supportive relationship with ABI. The funding from the PIO grant was instrumental in getting the girls tech camp going (it is now in its 4th year). <br> <br>In 2009, I was nominated for and selected for the ChangeMaker award. As part of my prize, I was invited to the Grace Hopper Conference to receive my award and participate in a panel with other ChangeMaker award winners. I can honestly say that GHC is the best conference I have been for (and I have attended a few). All the women I met (the ABI staff) were warm and everyone shared their experiences as women in computing freely. I learnt so much from the sessions and other attendees that I could apply to my work in Nigeria. <br> <br>Through this network of incredible women, the GHC, the lists and regular newsletters, ABI has supported and encouraged many women in their technical careers (no matter what stage they are at).
