United Christian Asssociation for Haiti is an organization that is doing extra ordinary work in Haiti. As a small organization with a very small budget, the are not in the eyes of the public as much as they deserve to be but they are changing lives. Originally, the name was created by a pastor who was sending food to Haiti and helping children to go to school. Twenty years later, two students from Central Florida kept the name and registered the organization as a nonprofit organization. Wthin that same year, the opened the "first community tution free school" in Picmy La Gonave, Haiti. A community with 7,000 children who cannot afford the cost of education. Last year they admitted 100 students, turning away more than 400 because of a lack of space. The two young women are dedicated to transforming this community as they are recruting more young people to became advocate for these children right here in the United States. Instead of donating, they want people to get engaged in the strategic decision making that is going to transform the communities they are serving in Haiti.
