Mission: To support and advance efforts to address the global aids epidemic, in particular the efforts of the joint united nations program on hiv. Aids and its partners to: provide leadership in achieving universal access to hiv prevention, treatment, care and support; promote dignity, human rights and gender equality to those afflicted with hiv and their families; and empower and provide information that will promote prevention, treatment, care and support in an effort to reverse the spread of hiv; advance understanding within the united states on the unique role of the un system in addressing the global aids epidemic and advancing global health, and collaborate with organizations in other parts of the world who share these purposes and are affiliated with the joint united nations program on hiv. Programs: Support the united nations joint un program on hiv/aids (unaids) to partner with the united states and other government and ngo funded efforts to expand aids awareness, hiv testing and treatment programs around the world.
