Causes: Education, Scholarships, Scholarships & Student Financial Aid
Mission: The twenty pearls foundation, inc. Is the charitable and educational arm of mu upsilon omega chapter of alpha kappa alpha sorority, inc. Our purpose is to provide college scholarships for area high school students as well as service and support to the gainesville and surrounding communities in the area of education, arts, economics, health, and well-being. We serve individuals of all ages and backgrounds through programs designed to increase awareness, self-esteem and to meet basic quality of life needs. We are also committed to partnering with other community organizations to support and promote projects serving a similar purpose.
Programs: Pink dress luncheon: established an annual breast cancer awareness program to educated black women over 40 years about breast cancer prevelance, symptoms, and treatment.
american cancer society, east gainesville relay for life: participated in the annual walk-a-thon and contributed $1000 towards cancer research.
college scholarships: awarded 8 college scholarships to deserving high school students.
