Programs: Turning Point, Inc., headquartered in Newburyport, MA, is a non-profit organization committed to providing exceptional services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. With its team of dedicated employees, Turning Point strives to teach, empower and encourage the individuals to be self-confident and to make positive contributions to their communities. In doing so, they remain committed to providing a safe and healthy environment on their journey. Since opening in 1971, Turning Point has served adults with a wide variety of physical, emotional, and behavioral challenges in the Merrimack Valley and North Shore areas of Massachusetts. They currently support over 150 individuals in 34 residences and about 25 individuals living on their own in 12 cities and towns. Additionally, for over 30 years, Turning Point has been a proven leader in providing intensive behavioral support/high intensity programs within community settings. They are the only organization north of Boston to provide forensic services and treatment for adults with intellectual disabilities and a psychiatric diagnosis.
