Mission: To provide emotional and practical support to victims of traumatic events in the first few hours after a tragedy. Services were provided in 6 states. To educate emergency first responders and citizens in principles and techniques of victimology and trauma intervention. To expand the trauma intervention programs, inc. (tip) program to communities throughout the country.
Programs: Trauma intervention programs inc. (tip) assisted 6,300 clients using volunteers who contributed 19,000 hours to the community it serves, orange county, ca. Tip also provided training to new volunteers, and various city and hospital personnel.
tip produced the orange county heroes with heart dinner fundraiser to recognize the accomplishments of its first responders, police firefighters, medical personnel and volunteers.
tip held a golf fundraiser to raise community awareness throughout orange county.
