Mission: To encourage, support and promote charitable, educational and research activities that educate the public as to the role of toxicology in modern society; promote the development of educational programs in toxicology; provide grants for the participation of young toxicologists in scientific meetings in the field of toxicology; provide grants to aid in the formal training and education of individuals in toxicology.
Programs: Is it safe? : to develop audiovisual materials for health professionals to use in presentation to the public. The goal of 'is it safe? ' is to empower the public to make good decisions about risk associated with everyday products.
undergraduate education program for minority students: to introduce the discipline of toxicology for undergraduate science majors.
new written materials: to create written materials to be used in conjunction with 'is it safe? ' to educate the public on safe use of chemicals.
