Mission: The jefferson institute is an independent research and education institute. We create and deploy digital tools and integrate them with research and education systems to transform society by empowering engaged access to information. We deliver solutions for on-line learning, digital heritage, and making open data easy.
Programs: Radli: this project elevates the advanced distance learning (adl) capabilities of the region with professional networking, standards, technical skills, and collaborative innovation. Developing a formal regional initiative is a painstaking and time consuming process. This project will proceed on a two track path: 1) immediate practical collaboration, innovation, and professional networking to build capacity for joint adl among the regional partner nations; 2) gradual development of the political and legal framework for formalizing the institutionalization of this regional collaboration over time.
georgia adl: this project will help to set the initial institutional foundation for georgian adl, significantly expanding access to the wealth of internet based education tools for students and faculty to use in support of their missions.
viking 18: in one of the first examples of its kind, this project supported the viking 18 exercise organizers' delivery of advanced distributed learning (adl) capabilities into a large scale, multinational collective training event. Viking 18 is a 10-day civil-military exercise, held april 2018 in sweden, and involving more than 2,500 trainees from 50 countries.
