Causes: Education
Mission: Think dignity's mission is to inspire, empower, and organize our community to advance basic dignity for those living on the streets.
Programs: Fresh start showers: the 2-shower/2-restroom trailer brings basic dignity to our unhoused neighbors by providing access to safe shower facilities to various communities throughout the county. The mobile showers program was initially introduced in 2015. The program aims to provide warm showers, as well as other much needed services, such as outreach case workers and health services.
basic dignity campaign: designed to bring public awareness to problems surrounding lack of access to clean drinking water and sanitation for displaced persons. We work with community partners to effectuate change in the community. Legal referral and advocacy clinic: program providing legal consultations and referrals from volunteer attorneys and law students. In 2016,the program grew from 2 to 7 legal clinics per month. Winter and summer survival backpacks: the organization passes out survival backpacks to displaced persons, complete with quality items, such as tents, sleeping bags, clothing items, food, water, hygiene products, and bus passes.
transitional storage center (tsc): designed as a part of the homeless advocacy mission, this center is used as a temporary storage center for the homeless.
