Mission: Researching reproductive medicine in animals and ensuring future generations of animals continue to enrich human lives through service, companionship, and food while conserving our natural resources.
Programs: Genomics research is is one of the largest programs and grants the foundation is researching, which identifies genetic explanations for why some dogs succeed in working dog programs and others do not, while better identifying individual dogs to their own skills, such as targeting dogs to certain programs such as assistance versus law enforcement dog work. A large area of this genomics research involves working dog project where the foundation is also in the process of researching and training dogs as a means of being able to identify bombs at civilian events, in order to reduce the onset of terrorism, violence, and crime.
the foundation offers other research grants that focus on all aspects of theriogenology including infertility, endocrinology, neonatology, obstetrics, etc. Veterinarians that are members of the american college of theriogenologists, society for theriogenology, or the foundation can apply for these research grants. All of these grants, including 1)bovine, 2)equine, and 3)small animal research grants, provide financial support for veterinary research in the animal reproduction processes.
the foundation also offers travel grants that assist veterinary students in their research of theriogenology and aids in traveling to the theriogenology conference.
