Mission: Our mission is “to educate youth in all areas of the theatre arts and to endeavor to foster a life-long appreciation through the production and performance of plays and/or musicals”. In pursuit of this goal, we apply pre-professional standards in providing an annual high quality theatre arts educational and performance opportunity free of charge for Mid-Ohio Valley high school youth. We believe that hands-on participation is the best way for young people to learn about the theatre arts and continued participation is the best way to improve skills. Our project is based entirely on professional artists teaching in areas they know and love, and students learning by doing. They learn acting by performing and critiquing each other - technical theatre by assisting with set and lighting design, building and painting the set, designing and sewing costumes, operating light rail equipment and calling shows as stage managers - marketing by distributing show posters in their schools, churches, and communities, and performing promotional community excerpts at area libraries, rotary clubs, etc. Our focus is arts education and decisions are based on the best educational value.
