Mission: Theatre Baton Rouge’s Mission is to provide the residents of the Greater Baton Rouge Area the opportunity to participate in quality live theatre as an audience member, actor or production worker. Recognizing theatre as a living reflection of the human imagination and experience, TBR serves as the region’s pivotal theatre arts organization providing ongoing cultural, educational and social enrichment. THEATRE BATON ROUGE CORE VALUES Community: Theatre Baton Rouge is an integral part of the Greater Baton Rouge Community. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate in any and all aspects of our theater. Education: We utilize theater as a means of educating members of the community. Whether through participation in a production, attending classes, or attending a performance; we challenge, inform, and educate as well as entertain. Excellence: Every activity we undertake at Theatre Baton Rouge is held to a high standard of excellence. We transform the ordinary to extraordinary, and never settle for “good enough”. Imagination: We challenge and inspire an awakening in ourselves and our audiences. Whether we are solving problems or creating art, we think beyond the usual boundaries. Teamwork: The greatness achieved when people come together to reach a common goal surpasses what one individual can deliver. Everyone at Theatre Baton Rouge values, supports and encourages all others in our quest for achieving the extraordinary. Respect: Respect for people is fundamental to all we do. Whether it be ideas, beliefs, abilities or background, we hold all to a high standard of respect and dignity.
