Programs: Our out-of-school programs serve all youth and are accessible to all families. Our programs are designed to develop youth to their fullest potential in mind, body, and spirit by incorporating the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Our programs are a "home away from home" providing an environment before and after school where children can unwind from the structured school day, socialize, have nutritious snacks or meals, do homework, and participate in a variety of activities. Youth who participate in these programs improve significantly in attitudes, behavior, and school performance. Programs consist of four core components of homework support, fitness & nutrition, art & culture, and science. The ymca served over 3,400 of utah's youth through 23 afterschool programs.
